The Local Experience
Want to know how the locals live? This itinerary is designed to give you a glimpse into daily life in and around Wolfville. From secret swimming holes to beloved hangouts, this relaxed day is full of authentic Valley vibes!
1-Day Itinerary:
Saturday (if possible!)
Chat with community members over locally roasted coffee and Compass Buns at Charts Cafe or enjoy the traffic passing by from the cafe’s Adirondack chairs out front.
Around the corner from Charts, stroll through the bustling stalls at the Wolfville Farmers’ Market. Be sure to try local favourites like MomoNepal’s deliciously steamed or fried “momo”, pouches filled with a mixture of vegetables and spices.
Note: the Wolfville Farmers’ Market is only open on Saturdays. If you want to live like a local on another day, we recommend taking a tour of favourite shops in the area like The Odd Book, Harvest Gallery, Valley Girl, The Market, and Realm!
Pop into the iconic Library Pub for lunch before taking a short drive down into the Gaspereau Valley for tubing on the Gaspereau River. Tubing is cash only and dependent on weather and seasonal river conditions! Call ahead to confirm your spot for the day.
After your chill float down the river, head back into town for a round of flights at Annapolis Cider Company or warm up over a cup of tea at T.A.N. before grabbing dinner at one of our local pubs (whichever has the best live music that night!).
