Located in Nova Scotia’s Annapolis Valley, the town offers a blend of rural charm, university-town vibrancy, and world-renowned natural beauty. Before you arrive, here are a few practical details to help you make the most of your visit: 

  • Wolfville operate on Atlantic Standard Time (one hour ahead of Toronto/New York).

  • Like most of Canada, Wolfville uses the Canadian Dollar (CAD).

    When In Wolfville gift cards are also available to purchase at the Visitor Information Centre, and are accepted at the majority of businesses in downtown Wolfville as well as several local wineries. Check here for more information about the gift card.

  • Visitors will find that free Wi-Fi is available in most cafes, accommodations, and public areas, and cell service is generally strong throughout town.

  • Keep in mind that some places around town operate on seasonal schedules. Wineries may also be open on weekends only during the shoulder seasons, and trails can be affected by weather conditions. Please check business hours in advance before setting out on your next Wolfville adventure! 

  • The Wolfville Visitor Information Centre is open seasonally and provides printed maps, brochures, and friendly, in-person advice. Staff are ready to answer any questions you might have about local experiences, accommodations, places to eat, and upcoming events. The VIC also provides free access to bathrooms and showers.
