Wolfville, like many places across Canada, experiences four distinct seasons.

Each season brings its own character, traditions, and reasons to visit.

From the fresh blossoms of spring to the cozy quiet of winter, Wolfville offers beauty and charm in every season.

 Wolfville across the seasons…

  • April to mid-June

Spring brings along a wide range of blooms across town as well as the Annapolis Valley’s beautiful apple blossoms. It’s a great time for hiking and biking after the student population has returned home again but before the summer heat sets in!

  • Mid-June to mid-September

Summer is our most vibrant season - restaurant patios are in full swing, outdoor events take place in parks across town, and local wineries offer their widest range of hours. If you’re into outdoor concerts, beach days, and trail adventures, summer is the perfect time to visit!

  • Mid-September to November

Autumn in the Annapolis Valley is like nothing you’ve seen before. The hills turn gold, the leaves are a stunning array of reds and oranges, fields and orchards buzz with the fall harvest. For pumpkin spice and everything nice in Wolfville, fall is the ultimate getaway.

  • November to March

Winter brings a peaceful stillness to the town of Wolfville, with its frosty mornings, ciders and ales, and festive lights and greenery. If you’re looking for cozy Hallmark movie charm this winter season, Wolfville is the place to be!

Temperatures vary.

If you’re visiting Wolfville and then decide to take a trip to Cape Blomidon, Cape Split, or Halls Harbour, be prepared for a noticeable shift in weather as temperatures can drop 5-10 degrees (even though they’re only about 25 minutes away from each other)!

The tide is high…

The Bay of Fundy is home to some of the highest tides in the world.

Watch the Minas Basin tides (an offshoot of the Bay of Fundy) from the Wolfville Waterfront Park!
